Price Setup
Configure seasons, duration tiers, and price groups
Before you can set prices for your vehicles, you need to configure the pricing building blocks. Go to Pricing > Setup tab.
Seasons
Seasons define time periods with different pricing. Most businesses have at least two seasons (low and high), but you can create as many as needed.
Creating a Season
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Display name (e.g., "Low Season", "Peak") |
| Start Date | When this season begins |
| End Date | When this season ends |
| Color | Optional color for calendar display |
Seasons must not overlap. Every day of the year should fall within exactly one season, otherwise pricing gaps will prevent bookings for uncovered dates.
Common Season Patterns
Two-season setup:
- Low Season: November 1 – April 30
- High Season: May 1 – October 31
Three-season setup:
- Low: November – March
- Mid: April – May, September – October
- High: June – August
Duration Tiers
Duration tiers define day-count ranges. Each range gets its own daily rate, allowing you to offer lower prices for longer rentals.
Creating a Duration Tier
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Display name (e.g., "1-3 days") |
| Min Days | Minimum rental days for this tier |
| Max Days | Maximum rental days for this tier |
Duration tiers should cover all possible rental lengths without gaps. A common setup is: 1-3, 4-7, 8-14, 15-21, 22-30, 31+.
Price Groups
Price groups are named collections of prices. Every tenant has a Default price group that applies to all vehicles unless overridden.
When to Use Multiple Price Groups
- Different pricing for airport vs. city locations
- Fleet-partner-specific rates
- Corporate/wholesale pricing tiers
- Promotional pricing periods
Most businesses only need the Default group.
