Categories
Organize your fleet into vehicle categories
Categories group vehicles into logical types that customers can filter by when browsing your fleet. Common examples include Economy, Compact, SUV, Luxury, and Van.
Creating a Category
Go to Categories in the sidebar and click Add Category.

| Name | Display name (e.g., "Economy", "SUV") |
| Slug | URL-friendly identifier, auto-generated |
| Description | Optional description shown to customers |
| Sort Order | Controls the display order in search results |
How Categories Are Used
Categories serve several purposes:
- Search Filtering — Customers can filter search results by category
- Category Pricing — You can set default prices per category that apply to all vehicles in that category (individual vehicle prices override these)
- Addon Scoping — Addons and insurance tiers can be scoped to specific categories
- Organization — Group similar vehicles for easier fleet management
Assigning Vehicles to Categories
When you add or edit a vehicle, select a category from the dropdown. Each vehicle belongs to exactly one category.
Deleting a Category
A category can only be deleted if no vehicles are assigned to it. Reassign vehicles to a different category before deleting.
